This was confirmed by the Turkish media Fanatic.
Ozil, however, played the first 45 minutes in Basaksehir's previous match as well. However, Ozil's team lost 1-0 in that match against Kayserispor. Then there is the matter of leaving football by canceling Ozil's contract. Before coming to Basaksehir, Ozil had to cancel the contract with Fenerbach midway.
Ozil, 34, started his career with German club Schalke in 2005. Then Verder came to Real Madrid via Bremen. After leaving Real, Ozil joined Arsenal in 2013.
